Charlee Manaley Individual and Couples Counsellor

Charlee is an individual, couples and adult family therapist and has been working in therapeutic services for over four years. She places considerable importance and value on ensuring she has a mindful, warm and supportive therapeutic approach. Charlee’s qualifications include membership to the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), a master’s degree in counselling, a bachelor’s degree in behavioural science (Psychology) and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Charlee has also successfully completed her Brainspotting, phase 1 training, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy level 1.

As a counsellor Charlee has a warm and inclusive approach to her clinical practice which she will adapt to client presentations and goals. Her therapeutic approach utilises an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities which includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT). As well as Trauma-informed therapies, such as Brainspotting.

In her sessions, where appropriate, Charlee likes to draw upon humour to foster connection with clients with aim to ease the weight of counselling that some clients may experience. This alongside, ensuring a collaborative approach, Charlee will make sure that clients are heard, understood, supported, and validated in what they may be experiencing, in turn, promoting positive therapeutic outcomes.

Charlee’s areas of interest include anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, attachment issues, separation, career and study stress, and phobias. Charlee also offers couples counselling for an array of presenting concerns including infidelity, conflict management and communication challenges. Charlee also supports adult family relationships and can assist in a variety of presenting issues.

Charlee’s life away from therapeutic work consists of self-care and spending time with her partner and pup named Bella. She also loves to foster connection with family and friends by cooking and entertaining.
