GWM Clinical Hypnotherapy, Coaching, and Counsellingmental health, counselling, clinical hypnotherapy, business coaching, education counselling & coaching
I have come to the counselling profession with a life time of experiences in policing, public service, and education. My goal is to help you, so I take a pragmatic and eclectic approach to the counselling that I provide to my clients.
This means that I will pick and choose from various modalities to help you. This may mean combining hypnotherapy techniques with general counselling techniques. However, at all times you are in control
At the beginning of each session we will discuss what is going to occur and we agree together how to move forward.
I moved to Horsham, Victoria in 2016 and identified that there is a need for an alternative approach to dealing with mental health life’s daily challenges. I formally studied Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP during 2018, and to add to this training I completed a Graduate Diploma in Counselling with a specialisation in Mental Health.
I have several other academic qualifications which are:
- Graduate Certificate in Counselling (Mental Health) – University of Southern Queensland (2018)
- Master of Education – Griffith University (2019) **
- Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching – University of Melbourne (2015)
- Master of Education – University of Southern Queensland (2012)
- Bachelor of Business (Management/Leadership) – University of Southern Queensland (2009)
I combine all of the formal knowledge combined with my life experience to work with you so we can develop an individualised approach so you can put the pieces back into place and get on with living.
** This is in lieu of the Doctor of Education that I withdrew from in 2018. Prior to withdrawing I spent several years studying critical thinking, decision-making under pressure, and interviewed 60 emergency services personnel about their perceptions of critical thinking. From this I have developed a number of strategies to help individuals and organisations develop their decision-making skills.
